How we handle your information

WassPay ("WassPay," "we," "us") provides merchant services and point-of-sale solutions to businesses. This policy explains what information we collect when you use wasspay.com, send us a processing statement, or contact us through our website, social media, or ads — and what we do with it. We keep it plain because that's how we do everything else.

The short version: we collect what we need to audit your statement and get back to you. We don't sell your information. We share it only with the people and services needed to do the work you asked for.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a free statement audit, contact us, or fill out a form on our website, Facebook, or Instagram, you may provide:

Your name, business name, phone number, and email address
Your business type, approximate monthly card volume, and current processor
Processing statements or other documents you upload or send us, which may include your merchant account number, transaction volumes, and fee details
Anything else you choose to tell us in a message, call, or text

Information collected automatically. Our website host may process technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the website. This version does not use Google Analytics or a Meta Pixel. If we run ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), Meta may also collect information about your interaction with those ads under Meta's own privacy policy.

2. How we use it

To review your processing statement and give you an honest assessment — including telling you to keep your current deal if it's a good one
To contact you by phone, text message, or email about your audit, your questions, or a merchant account or equipment you've asked about
To set up and service a merchant account or POS system if you decide to move forward
To improve our website and understand which of our pages and ads are useful
To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud

3. Calls and text messages

If you give us your phone number through a form on our website or a Meta lead form, you're agreeing that WassPay may call or text you at that number about your request. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us not to call by telling us on the call or emailing Team@wasspay.com. We won't add you to any marketing list you didn't ask for.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to do the work:

Payment processors and equipment partners — if you decide to open a merchant account or order hardware through WassPay, we share the information required to set up and service that account.
Service providers that help us run our business — our website host and form service (Netlify), advertising and lead forms (Meta), and email and phone systems. These providers process information on our behalf and under their own privacy and security commitments.
Legal reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

5. Your processing statements

Statements you send us are used only to perform your audit and prepare a comparison if you ask for one. We keep them only as long as needed for that purpose and any account you open with us, and then delete them. If you'd like a statement deleted sooner, email us and we'll confirm when it's done.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website and access controls on the systems where statements are stored. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously and limit access to the people who need it.

7. Your choices

Access, correction, or deletion: email Team@wasspay.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Marketing: reply STOP to any text or click unsubscribe in any marketing email.
Browser settings: you can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Meta ads: you can adjust ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Residents of certain states have additional rights under state privacy laws. If that applies to you, the same email address above is the way to exercise them.

8. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on our website.
