How the Cash Discount Program works
A Cash Discount Program can help offset processing costs. Your posted price is the card price. Customers who pay cash get a discount off that price. It is never a fee added at the terminal: a card fee added at checkout is a surcharge, which Visa caps at 3% and New Jersey caps at the merchant’s actual cost.
